Not brilliant customer Service
Dealing with Sun Tracker and its suppliers is like dealing with a retarded monkey and its cousin Jethro. I have a Party Barge 20 DLX.
I wanted a full length double bimini for it. Older people don't want to be in the hot sun. Contacted the dealer and they said that a front bimini was only 6 ' long, same as the rear bimini which would lead to a total length of only 12 '. What about the other 6' that needed covering?
So I contacted Sun Tracker directly and they said to contact Dowco who makes the bimini's for them. Dowco told me that they only made to SunTracker specs and they couldn't tell me how much of the boat the factory double bimini would cover. Seriously, you want me to buy a part that you won't even tell me its size.?
You can't tell me the size of what you are making? These people are all idiots.

Poor warranty service. They said my 2016 bass buggy seat is not covered under my 10 yr warranty due to "environmental damage". I've had the boat since new and they have replaced seats in the past for
Same stitching failure. What is different now?
Are they going broke or just stupid folks in warranty dept. I am very disappointed and mad!

Different material quality
My 2022 Sun Tracker 22DLX. Some of tje upholstery is fading and other is fine.
Warranty was denied. I was told by a upholstery specialist it was built during covid and supplies were poor. The dealer in Lake Havasu City, Az.
no longer will do warranty work for the company. What can I do?

Seats do not seal against rain. Major design issue. Good luck with sopping out moisture and preventing mildew. The factory is no help.
Every time it rains expect to spend an hour sipping up the water in the bench seats. A very poor design and no covers available. Consider yourself screwed.

Resolved: Waiting one year for a recall seat replacement!!
Company resolved the issue.
I purchased a brand new pontoon boat, paid cash for it and while having guests on our boat, the seat snapped while someone was sitting on it, and the other one is ready to go soon. It is a safety hazard and a year later were still waiting for a warrantied replacement !
They are obviously faulty because the dealership has had 14 replacements so far. This is unacceptable.

Unreasonable loss of use of new tritoon due to recall within first year
I received a message that Sun Tracker will not provide any monetary help due to our loss of use. They say the warranty does not give us anything due to loss of use.
When scheduling the service, To minimize my loss of use, I asked that they have the materials to do the recall repair when I bring the boat in which they told me they did. Boat has been in service for over 30 days with no resolution to the recall repair in the near future. I have lost the use of my new 2023 boat due to no fault of my own and believe I should be compensated for this loss of use during the prime boating season. I have tried to contact someone from Sun Tracker Customer Service but have been given the run around while being unable to contact anyone in Customer Service.
Please have someone contact me immediately to resolve this recall repair matter and to discuss fair compensation for loss of use of this new boat. I have contacted "Pissed Consumer" (review number 529****) and I will be reaching out to others to let them know about my dissatisfaction if this is not fairly resolved.
When a new vehicle is recalled, the manufacturer provides a loaner. I believe the manufacturer of this new boat should also make restitution for a new boat that is out of service due to no fault of the owner.

Worst boat I've ever owned.
Hole in pontoon. Tumbler broken.
Mph never has worked. Now 3 months waiting on recall of gas tank that dealer has no clue how to fix. Goes on and on. We owned a Maxum for 20 yrs, not one problem.
This boat has been a nightmare since day one.
Bought it brand new in 2020. I pay 3k for a private dock at Strawberry, but its always broken.

Bought a brand new 2023 sun tracker in June all the little things and big things are having issues. The ignition keeps turning.
Weve tried to tighten it multiple times ( makes it hard to start when it just keeps turning) the board popped off on the trailer marking up the pontoons found out they used regular small bolts instead of lag bolts. Cupholder is pulling apart from the seat after the third time of taking it out Straps for the canopy broke the first time out, plastic pieces are coming off of the gates, coming in and going out of the boat, jack on the trailer is junk does not hold the boat up properly leans and looks like its going to fall over, the waterproof cover holds water. In fact, it held so much it bent the supports on the inside, destroying it and stretched the cover.
Im terrified of dropping the boat off to get it worked on and all these miscellaneous things done Ive heard people say that it takes months for them to get their boats back. Hopefully at the end of boating season Ill have a list they can fix.

Steering
I purchased my 2023 18ft bass buggy with 75hp in June. The steering on it is so tight and gotten progressively worse. It's to the point now , it's not enjoyable to drive.

The original issue started Labor Day Weekend, 2022. The boat spent 2 months in the shop.
It took weeks for the warranty department to aprove a repair and then they couldn't find a part. Ironically, while my boat was in the shop there was a recall for this exact issue. Ours was not an isolated incident. This is an issue on all of them.
But at least when we did get the boat back it worked well. Until Labor Day 2023. I launched the boat this morning and the steering broke. AGAIN!!!
The same thing as last year. Tomorrow I will drag it back to the dealer.
I am so upset. I so wish I had bought a good boat instead of this one.
We had put about 20 hours on the boat. The steering was pretty stiff from the beginning but assumed it would loosen up. Wrong. The first day of our fishing trip we launched the boat and it would not steer.
It was frozen up. We took it to the dealer for the warranty repair and it has been over 6 weeks waiting on parts. They say it will be at least 2 more, maybe a lot more. The dealer received the new helm but not the steering cable.
What is so difficult about a steering cable? Are they that specialized? Is there not aftermarket cables that would work? So far the score is on the water 20 hours - in the shop 1,032 hours and counting.
Suntracker customer service was no help.
It was such a great boat for the 20 hours that it worked. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE!!!

Very unhappy
The suntracker pontoon we purchased 2 weeks ago has a bad tach gauge. Still waiting for one to show up to the dealership.
Next we take it out on the river yesterday, and the fuel gauge now wasn't working, ran out of gas, and had to be towed by game officials.
Then we get home and had lost one of the trailer wheel bearing covers. Can't really blame it on the dealership service techs as these problems should have never left the manufacturer!

I purchased a Sun Tracker fishing barge with a power bimini top in 2022. The bimini top has NEVER worked properly!
When I tried to contact Sun Tracker, they gave me the runaround, never addressed my concerns and treated me like crap. I was told to keep the controls out of the sun because they overheat.
So I spent $37K on a boat and I'm supposed to keep it out of the Sun?? WTF??
Preferred solution: I want the bimini top fixed.

Verified ReviewerRust Stains coming thru Vinyl Floor. From wood.
After about a 1-2 years of owning a 20 ft pontoon DLX FISHING BARGE. There are many apparent rust stains coming thru the wood into the Vinyl.
Rust spots all over the floor making the resale of the boat clearly go down and makes it look bad. Its also making the Vinyl turn an awful looking orange. I added the email that proves we requested why this is happening. No resolution.
Bass pro is just following commands. Not their fault.

Can't get wiring harness for a 2023 bass buggy
Why have a 10 year warranty when you can't get a wiring harness and it's only 6 months old. I regret the purchase.
